Welcome to our recipe share! Anyone can use these recipes. Chef quality desserts, main courses, and all kinds of other dishes. We will even review our favorite recipes. We have hundreds of them. Submit your own recipes or reviews from anywhere in the site. Especially on pages that still have yet to include the recipe.

Gingerbread Men : 1 cup butter softened
1 cup sugar
2 to 4 tablespoons ginger
2 teaspoons nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup evaporated
1 cup dark molasses
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
5 1/2 cups sifted flour


In large bowl, Cream butter. Add sugar, spices and salt. Cream until light and fluffy. Stir in evaporated milk, molasses, vanilla and lemon extract. Add flour a little at a time blending well after each addition. Cover bowl with waxed paper and chill for at least two hours.

Use a portion of the chilled dough at a time. Roll about 1/4 inch thick on well-floured surface. Cut with floured cookie cutter to make gingerbread men. Using a spatula, transfer to an ungreased baking sheet. Bake in 325 degree F oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Cool on rack. Decorate with icing. Makes 2 1/2 dozen large gingerbread men.
